Picking containers should be selected from usable opening, internal dimensions, load, label area, shelf or cart interface and replenishment method. A common footprint alone does not establish picking or automation suitability.
Location fit
Check shelf depth, bay width, cart/dolly footprint and clearance around the usable opening.
Load and handling
Confirm unit load, handles and manual-lift constraints for the actual contents.
Automation
Conveyor or ASRS use requires base geometry, deflection, tolerances and system testing.
