What are logistics boxes?

Logistics boxes (also called parts boxes, EU containers or turnover totes) are stackable polypropylene (PP) — and, in heavier grades, HDPE — boxes used to store, pick, buffer and move parts through a warehouse or production line. Most are built on the 600×400 mm Euro-modular footprint (with smaller 550×365 mm and larger 800×600 mm variants) so they interlock cleanly on a 1200×1000 or 1200×800 mm pallet, and many nest when empty and stack straight-walled when full. The line also spans one-piece PP pallet boxes up to 1200×1000 mm for bulk handling.

Sourced in volume by automotive, electronics, e-commerce fulfilment and general manufacturing for parts handling, line-side kitting, bin storage and closed-loop internal transport, where they replace one-way cardboard and last 5–8× longer. Buyers choose by footprint (600×400 mm being the workhorse), single-box and stacking load rating, wall type (solid vs vented grid), and whether an attached or separate lid is needed.

What is the difference between a logistics box, a turnover box and a parts box?

In practice the terms overlap and often describe the same product. "Turnover box" stresses reusable, closed-loop cycling between stations or sites; "parts box" stresses component storage and picking; "logistics box" is the broad label for stackable PP/HDPE handling boxes. All share the same build — reinforced base, stack-when-full/nest-when-empty geometry, Euro-modular footprints — so choose by footprint, load rating and lid type rather than the name.

What footprints and sizes do you supply, and are they Euro-modular?

The workhorse is the 600×400 mm Euro footprint in heights from roughly 150 to 450 mm, alongside 550×365 mm parts boxes, 800×600 mm larger totes, and one-piece PP pallet boxes up to 1200×1000 mm. Because they follow the 600×400 module, four boxes tile onto a 1200×800 mm pallet and five onto a 1200×1000 mm pallet with no wasted deck. Each product page lists exact external and internal L×W×H plus CBM.

How much load can a logistics box carry and how high can it stack?

Typical copolymer-PP EU boxes carry up to about 25 kg per box with a stacking load around 125 kg, so filled boxes column-stack several high safely; heavy-duty HDPE and one-piece pallet boxes carry far more. Actual single-box and stacking limits are stated per model on the product page and confirmed on quote — always stack to the rated figure rather than by eye.

PP or HDPE — which material should I choose?

Polypropylene (PP) is the standard: strong, chemical- and oil/acid/alkali-resistant, and tolerant of higher temperatures for wash-down or sterilisation. HDPE stays impact-tough in freezing and cold-chain conditions where PP can turn brittle. For general line-side and warehouse handling, PP; for sub-zero storage or bulk containers, HDPE. Material is noted per product.

How many logistics boxes fit in a 40ft container?

A 40' high-cube container offers about 76.3 m³ of usable volume; we estimate units per container from each product's CBM at roughly 85% stow efficiency, or use the supplier-stated figure where available. Nestable empties ship in far higher quantities than solid straight-walled boxes because they collapse into each other — each product page shows the estimated units per 40' HQ.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Minimum order is typically one full container load (1 FCL); the exact per-product MOQ is confirmed when you apply for trade access.
